February 8, 2005 Regular Meeting

Theresa Town Board          Regular Meeting   February 8, 2005

The regular meeting of the Theresa Town Board was held on February 8,
2005 in the Theresa Town Hall.  The agenda for this meeting was posted
at the Town Hall Board, TSB Bank, and the Theresa Post Office.   

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Fink at 5:30 p.m.  The
Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Supervisor Vane, seconded
by Supervisor Lindert to approve the agenda. Motion carried. (3 ayes) 
The minutes were read by Treasurer Koch.  A motion was made by
Supervisor Lindert, seconded by Supervisor Vane to approve the minutes
of the January 4, 2004.  Motion carried.  (3 ayes)  

FINANCIAL
The financial report was given by the Treasurer; motion by Supervisor
Vane, seconded by Supervisor Lindert to approve the financial report
as given.  Motion carried.  (3 ayes)
Budget status report was reviewed.  Motion by Supervisor Lindert,
seconded by Supervisor Vane to approve payment of the bills.  Motion
carried.  (3 ayes)

CORRESPONDENCE
Correspondence from the Highway Commission regarding bridge ordinance
was reviewed.

PUBLIC FORUM
Chairman Fink spoke on Emergency Management information handed out at
a recent Towns Association Meeting in Juneau.  The folder of
information was given to Warren for his review.

OLD BUSINESS
Terry Gieger stated that she was unhappy with the way the well testing
went.  Chairman Fink will look into the issue.  

NEW BUSINESS
Warren Stanke and Scott Bernhard were present to discuss the grant for
a new pumper.  They would like to know if the town board would be
willing to pay a portion of the remaining amount that the grant would
not cover.  Supervisor Vane made a motion, seconded by Supervisor
Lindert stating the Town Board will meet with the Village board on
March 7, with the only business to be discussed is the Fire Department
Grant and Funds. Motion carried. (3 ayes)  Warren stated that a
residence on Mountain Road has not been plowed all winter.  If a fire
were to occur, the fire department would have a difficult time getting
to the buildings.  The clerk will send a letter to the owner.  The
board discussed how to deal with the salt shed and the counties use of
it.  Chairman Fink will meet with the town attorney to write up a
contract.

The next monthly meeting will be held on March 1, 2005 at 7:30 pm.

ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Supervisor Lindert, seconded by Supervisor Vane to adjourn
the meeting.  Motion carried. (3 ayes)
The meeting was duly adjourned at 6:55 pm.
